Everence Student-Athlete of the Week: Tyrelle Hunt, Men's Basketball

Hunt averaged 19.5 points per game in his first action as a Maple Leaf

GOSHEN, Ind. — Tyrelle Hunt, a senior on the men's cbasketball team, has been named the Everence Student-Athlete of the Week for October 27 - November 2!

In his first week as a Maple Leaf, transfer Tyrelle Hunt averaged 19.5 points per game and shot 58.1% from the floor. He averaged 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 block per game. On Wednesday, he had 15 points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Then on Saturday, he had 24 points and nine rebounds. He was 11-15 from the field and was the first Goshen player to make 11 field goals in a game since Karson Jenkins on January 13, 2024 against Taylor.

Goshen's win over Grace Christian marked the team's first victory in a season opener since 2021 and their largest margin of victory in any game since December 10, 2022.
