GOSHEN, Ind. - The 2024-25 Academic All-District® women's basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, was announced on Tuesday, and Goshen had four student-athletes make the team.
Emme Boots,
Paula Ferrer Nolla,
Zion Neat and
Zoe Zellers earned the recognition.
The awards recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in their sports and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Goshen was one of just three Crossroads League schools that hit the maximum limit of four student-athletes making the team, joining Mount Vernon Nazarene and Taylor. There were 20 student-athletes from the Crossroads League that earned the honors.
The Academic All-America® award is the longest-running and most prestigious academic and athletic award for student-athletes, being given out yearly since 1952. The Academic All-District® award is given to student-athletes with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average that are sophomores athletically and academically. Individuals must have been nominated by their Sports Information Department and meet specific performance mininums for their sport. For women's basketball, they must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
