Wilson earns Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League

Wilson was top ten in the league in numerous rebounding categories

JACKSON, Mich. - Fifth-year Richard Wilson, a guard on the men's basketball team, was named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon. The All-Crossroads League honors were voted on by the head men's basketball coaches from around the league.

Wilson averaged 15.2 points per game this season. He was ranked sixth in the Crossroads League in defensive rebounds (140), ninth in rebounds per game (6.3), tenth in total rebounds (169) and 12th in points per game. He led the Maple Leafs in points, field goals, three-point field goals, rebounds and minutes played. He was named the Everence Student-Athlete of the Week three times this season.

Ian Scott of Grace was named the Player of the Year. Huntington's Maximus Gizzi was selected as Defensive Player of the Year and Marian's Aidan Franks was chosen as Freshman Player of the Year. Steve Drabyn of Bethel was named Coach of the Year. Grace won their fourth-straight Crossroads League tournament title with a win over Huntington on Monday night. It marks the first time in Crossroads League history that a team has won four tournaments in a row.
