Leafs get fourth shutout win of the season, take down Crimson Pride 4-0

Nine different GC players had a shot on goal in the match

GOSHEN, Ind. - The men's soccer team is off to its best seven-game start to a season in 20 years after a 4-0 shutout win over IU-Columbus on Saturday night at the GC Soccer Complex. Four different Maple Leafs scored and Gabriel Viau made six saves.

Goshen's first goal came in the eighth minute after applying some pressure in the box. Iker Fernandez-Andes ended up with the ball as the goalie was out of position. Just three minutes later, Eli Simones sent a cross to William Jackson, who scored right in front of the net.

Goshen was up 2-0 at the break after more than doubling the shots total of the Crimson Pride. Not long after the second half began, Fernandez-Andes got his second assist of the match on a pass to Adrian Gonzalez Martinez. The last goal came in the 72nd minute. Pedro Diegues found Arturo Hernandez-Barrera, who managed to stay onside down the right side. He scored to put Goshen up 4-0, which would be the final score.
