SYLVANIA, Ohio - The Maple Leafs traveled a state over for a midweek matchup against Lourdes, falling in four sets, 17-25, 25-23, 19-25, 18-25.
Goshen showed resilience in the second set, rallying from a 23-22 deficit to win the final three points and even the match. Addison Ross led the offense for the night with 15 kills, while Sydney Stutsman and Kelsie Hankins combined for 34 assists - Stutsman with 23 and Hankins with 11.
The third set saw Goshen take a brief 7-6 lead before Lourdes responded with six straight points to regain control. Despite the momentum shift, the Leafs continued to battle, with Hankins and Eva Carlson each recording two aces and four players reaching double-digit digs - Kassidy Faler, Hankins, Alaina Wolfe, and Sami Lard.
Goshen moves to 1-5 on the season.
