With a loss by Grace to Spring Arbor shortly after Goshen's games, the Leafs clinched a spot in the Crossroads League tournament.
Game One
Huntington scored two runs with two outs in the first and led 3-0 when Goshen starter
Camryn Barrows was replaced with
Tatem Adams. The Foresters led 5-0 by the end of the inning after scoring two unearned runs on a fielding error. They would score another three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth on the way to a run-rule win.
Barrows allowed three earned runs and five total runs on four hits in 1.1 innings. She had three strikeouts and two walks. Her pitching record this season now sits at 7-7. Adams allowed four earned runs in 3.2 innings.
Rachel Kates hit a double and a single, going 2-2 in the game.
Ella Mcleod hit a single and Barrows had one as well in her lone at-bat.
Game Two
Huntington had a pair of RBI doubles in the first inning of game two. Yet the Leafs answered when
Camryn Barrows smacked a home run to left center - a three-run shot that gave Goshen the lead. The visitors retook a 6-3 lead when
Hayden McGuire hit a two-RBI double in the bottom of the third to put GC within one. The Foresters added three runs in the top of the fourth, Barrows hit an RBI single in the bottom of the inning, and then Huntington scored another two runs in the fifth.
Barrows came in to pitch for
Esme Pico in the top of the sixth and got three quick outs, the first inning that Huntington hadn't scored in in the game. They went down 1-2-3 in the seventh as well, but the Leafs were unable to score in their final three innings either, and HU won 11-6.
Pico had the loss with seven earned in five innings. Barrows allowed no earned runs and gave up no walks. She was also a double away from the cycle. In addition to her outstanding two innings pitching, she was 3-3 at the plate with a single, a triple, a home run, two RBIs, two runs, a walk and a stolen base.
Tatem Adams went 2-3 and
Hayden McGuire was 2-4 with a single, a double and two RBIs.
Bianca Diamond had a single, a run and a stolen base.
With six strikeouts between the two games today, Barrows has thrown 213 in her career, tying Mia Pawelski ('22) for the second-most in a career. Barrows' 108 strikeouts this season is the fifth-most in program history.

She is majoring in broadcasting and minoring in psychology and is looking to explore opportunities in public relations - eventually returning to grad school for a master's in public relations. Coach Wagner says, "Jasmin has poured her heart and soul into this program. Her energy is infectious and is responsible for many of the wins we have experienced during her four years here at Goshen. We will miss her next season." Thank you, Jasmin!
Next up is #15,

She works tirelessly to put herself, and her teammates, in the best positions possible. She is a scrappy ball player and we will miss her next season." Thank you, Ella!
