GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen faced off against the #1 team in the NAIA when they battled the Taylor Trojans on Thursday evening. After a couple of rain delays, the Trojans won 19-0. The teams will play a seven-inning game on Friday at 4:00 pm before playing their regularly scheduled Saturday doubleheader at 1:00 pm.
Goshen starter
AJ Lenn held Taylor scoreless in the first two innings of his outing. He faced just six batter up to that point, even though the Leafs had only sent six to the plate as well. The game shifted in the top of the third, when TU scored five runs on four hits. Lenn's time was up after three innings - he struck out two and walked four.
Freshman
Kenny Ayala didn't give up any runs in his inning of work and allowed just one hit. However, the Trojans put up four in the fifth inning, seven in the sixth inning and three more in the seventh and won by run rule.

AJ Carrasquillo hit singles for the Leafs.

Nathan Pinedo walked and
Fernando Marte Santana was hit by a pitch.
The teams play at 4:00 pm on Friday for a seven-inning game. The full doubleheader was unable to be played on Thursday due to rain.
