Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Michael Hunter Jr. begins his second season on the Maple Leaf sideline in 2014-15.

Hunter started his collegiate playing career at Columbus State Community College where he was a two-year starter for a team that posted a 29-2 mark and was ranked #1 in the NJCAA.  He went on to start for two years at Ohio Northern University, helping the Polar Bears to a 40-11 record before graduating in 2008.

Immediately joining the coaching ranks, Hunter spent four seasons on the staff at Heidelberg University.  He coached Freshman All-American Dane Guner in 2009-10 and helped the Princes to an Ohio Athletic Conference Championship.

Hunter enjoys spending time with family, traveling, listening to music and watching movies.
