Born on March 29… parents are Herman Escalante and Jeanette Gonzalez… has a brother, Christopher… chose Goshen because “coach Patrick believed I could really make a difference on the team … he made my decision really easy on coming here” … little-known personal fact is “I used to play basketball before I played soccer” … admires his dad and his club coach, Fabio Silva, because “they started from the bottom and have worked incredibly hard to set themselves up to be able to not only support their families but help them thrive” … best athletic moment was saving a penalty with eight minutes left in the regional finals to send his team to state.
