Jaime Stack Applegate, a four-year letterwinner in two different sports as a player, returns to the bench for her third season as a Goshen College women’s basketball assistant coach in 2021-22.

Stack played 78 games for the Maple Leaf basketball team from 2011-15, leading the team with 10.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as a freshman despite playing forward at 5-foot-6. A member of the Mid-Central College Conference’s all-freshman team in 2012, she was a career 45 percent shooter from the floor and a 32 percent shooter from 3-point range.

On the volleyball court, she was a two-time honorable-mention all-conference pick for the GC women’s team, where she racked up almost 900 kills despite missing a full season with injuries. Her .968 service reception efficiency as a senior in 2014 was the third-highest mark in Maple Leaf history.

Applegate holds a bachelor's degree from GC and a doctorate in physical therapy from Midwestern University in Chicago. She lives in Goshen with her husband Thomas, also a Maple Leaf assistant and former Goshen athlete. She is employed as a physical therapist at a local clinic and is also an assistant girls volleyball coach at her other alma mater, Fairfield High School.
