Biography
AT GOSHEN:
2010-11: Played in 28 games and started 11 times… averaged 4.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and more than an assist per contest… season high was nine points, coming on 2/5/11 against Grace College.
2009-10: Played in all 31 games her freshman season…averaged 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and almost 1 assist per game… scored a career high 13 points against Indiana Tech on 11/11/09.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Prepped for Mike Armstrong at Perry Meridian High School…averaged eight points, three rebounds, and shot 40% her senior season….a two-time first team all-conference selection…was selected the Most Valuable Player in the Eric Gordon All-Star Game in Indianapolis during her senior year…was selected as the top player in Sectional Nine by Hoosier Basketball Magazine…off the court she was on the A & B honor roll… also played volleyball.
PERSONAL:
Parents are Norm and Geraldine Banister…she has four siblings, Megan (27), Kevin (24), Colin (16), and Amelia Banister (11)…admires her mom because she has always been the one person that Samantha can count on…little known fact is "My hair is naturally curly, not a perm!"
