Played for coaches Dan Graber and Kari Wildman at Goshen High School ... won 2011 sectional championship ... named academic all-state as a senior ... graduated with honors and three International Baccalaureate certificates (Spanish, math and English).

PERSONAL:
Born on June 27 ... parents are David and Beth Martin Birky ... chose Goshen because "Goshen College is in my blood: my parents met in my grandfather Wilbur Birky's colloquium class their freshman year. I always wanted to follow in my father's footsteps and play college soccer all four years"... little-known personal fact: "Very involved in music ever since the age of 6, focusing on vocal and violin performance, as well as a few years of piano."
