Joining Routhier and Higley on the coaching staff in 2011 is former area high school standout Angie Reed. Reed was the first graduate of Elkhart Central High School to receive 12 varsity letters, with four each coming in volleyball, basketball, and softball.
Reed earned a total of six All Northern Indiana Conference selections (twice in each sport), along with Indiana All State honors four times (volleyball, basketball, twice in softball) and still holds the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) record with two home runs in a state playoff game against Pike Central. As a senior volleyball player, she finished her career averaging 13 kills, six blocks, and two service aces a match.
As a coach, Reed has been involved with the Shank You Club Team and as an assistant at Concord High School. She has also been active in coaching clinics and seminars with the likes of Purdue University's Dave Shondell, Penn State's Russ Rose, Ball State's Dave Boss and the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association.
Apart from athletics, Reed is an outside sales rep with D & W Incorporated in Elkhart. Along with husband Jason – a branch manager at PNC in Elkhart – the couple has two boys, Steven (18) and Brady (12).
