Michael Wahl enters his first season as a manager for the Goshen College women's volleyball team in 2020.

Wahl is a senior on the men's volleyball team, which he led with 557 assists in the shortened 2020 season. He holds the program's all-time records with 50 matches played, 1,168 assists and 469 service attempts. He has the team's top two season totals in assists after racking up 611 in 2019 and 557 in 2020, and served at a school-record .906 clip in 2020.

At the NAIA national level, he ranked 16th in the country in assists in 2020 and was 49th with a mark of 2.03 digs per set. In 2019, he was 23rd in assists and 29th in total digs.

Wahl is a native of Malvern, Ohio, who transferred to GC from Lees-McRae College. At L-MC, he was on the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll and was named National Libero of the Week.

PERSONAL:
Born on June 16 … parents are Jeff and Kathy Wahl … has two siblings, Ashley (25) and Jared (18) … chose Goshen “because it was the perfect fit for what I was looking for academically and athletically” … little-known personal fact is “I bowled for nine years before taking up volleyball” … best athletic moment was “being named the national libero of the week; it was life changing and finally felt like all of my hard work and dedication paid off.”
