Biography

AT GOSHEN:

2012: Played in 16 matches and 45 sets as a freshman setter for the Maple Leafs... finished the year with 85 assists, 70 digs, and seven service aces... posted double digits in assists three times, including a career high of 19 against Indiana South Bend on 11/3... had career high two aces against Taylor in a win in the Crossroads league quarterfinal on 11/6... had five or more digs in eight of her last nine matches, including two with 10 or more... career high of 16 digs came against Mount Mercy on 10/27.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Played for Coach Kevin King at Elida High School... was named all conference three times... also picked as Offensive MVP on three occasions... second in the conference in assists and hit 1,000 career at the beginning of her senior season... also involved in basketball, track, student council and the National Honor Society... received an Honor "E" Award and was on the honor roll.

PERSONAL:

Born on October 19… parents are Barry and Cyndi Smith… siblings are Tyler, Logan and Cody … chose Goshen because "I love that Goshen is a smaller school. It was also a plus that they are known for their nursing program and that's what I plan on majoring in. Lastly, I loved the volleyball coach and volleyball girls"… admires her mom because "She is very hardworking and she and my dad have done an awesome job raising four kids"… little known fact is "When I play volleyball I have to double knot my shoelaces. Yes, I am superstitious."
