Box Score 4 ADRIAN, Mich. — Freshman outside hitter Alexander Rabadzhiev earned all-tournament honors over the weekend at the Siena Heights Men's Volleyball Invitational, a two-day event that saw the Maple Leafs split four matches.
Goshen (7-18) opened Friday with a straight-set win over Thomas More College, putting down 20 kills and a .321 hitting percentage behind 20 Rabadzhiev winners. Michael Wahl added 31 assists and Nick Yutzy chipped in 10 digs. Morningside College leveled the score with a four-set win Friday evening: Rabadzhiev posted a double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs while Yutzy was one dig off his afternoon total.
Saturday's matches both sailed by in straight sets as Goshen lost to host Siena Heights and defeated Cumberland. Rabadzhiev recorded another double-double in the morning and hit .448 in the afternoon match, which saw Wahl's 8 digs lead the team.
Rabadzhiev finished with a team-high 62 kills, almost 5 per set, and hit .397 for the weekend. Wahl was second in hitting percentage, recording a .397 mark to go along with 108 assists on GC's 138 kills. Andy Bennett led the Maple Leafs with 11 blocks, two more than Austin Branagan, and Brandon Watkins posted 6 aces. Rabadzhiev and Yutzy each recorded 30 digs.

Siena Heights, Morningside and Lincoln College all tied for the best record at the six-team event, going 3-1 and splitting the round-robin among themselves. Goshen was the only team to finish 2-2.
The Maple Leafs return ro Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. visit to Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio.
