Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. — The Goshen College men's volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Siena Heights University on Tuesday in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, falling 25-13, 25-18, 25-14.
Alexander Rabadzhiev led the Maple Leafs with 11 kills and 5 digs, tying Nick Yutzy in the latter category.
The Saints (17-8, 4-3) got 10 kills apiece from Emmanuel Chaidez and Evan Cashen in addition to 9 from Evan Gomez. Keegan Crawford led all players with 39 assists and 10 digs, beating out Emilier De Jesus by one in the latter category. Siena Heights finished with 46 winners to Goshen's 20.
After the hosts opened leads of 5-1 and 14-8 in the first set, Goshen (8-20, 0-7) took two of the first three points to start the second set, opening the stanza with a block by Michael Wahl and Andy Bennett. The lead changed hands four times and the set was tied as late as 16-all before SHU reeled off a six-point run on Crawford's serve.
De Jesus started a five-point run early in the third set with two aces.
Goshen returns to the court on Friday evening for its home finale, its WHAC finale and Senior Night. Nahshon Lora and Isaac Longenecker will be honored before the match against Aquinas College, which starts at 7 p.m. at Gunden Gymnasium.
