GOSHEN, Ind. – The home women's volleyball season concluded on Friday evening in front of a large Maple Leaf crowd as Goshen lost to #11 Taylor in three sets.
The Trojans (26-5, 15-2 CL) looked most impressive in the second set, winning it 25-11 and displaying a .393 hitting percentage in the set. Goshen played well in the first set and was just a couple of points down until the Trojans ended it on a 5-1 run. The third set ended with a 25-15 score.
Amy Baca had six block assists, and Brielle Agnew had her first solo block of the season. Sadie Brenneman led the team with seven kills, and Kassidy Faler provided 11 digs. Sydney Stutsman and Jaelyn Amhdar tallied nine assists each.
Ryan Czerniak guided Taylor to the win with 15 kills and a .591 hitting percentage. Kacy Bragg finished with 39 assists, and McKaylah Flagle totaled 14 digs. Bragg leads the conference with an average of 11.02 assists per set.
Goshen ends the season on Saturday, October 29, at 3:00 pm at Bethel. It is a U.S. Highway 20 Cup matchup, and Bethel is receiving votes in the NAIA coaches poll.
