#12 IWU storms past Goshen

Brenneman records nine kills and six digs

MARION, Ind. - The Leafs scored twice as many points in the third set compared to the first set against #12 Indiana Wesleyan on Friday night, but the Wildcats continued a dominant streak of wins over Goshen, winning 25-8, 25-11, 25-16.

IWU had a hitting percentage of .417 for the match, with 46 kills and only six errors. The Wildcats are seventh in the NAIA in hitting percentage this season. Goshen had no blocks and just one ace - from Iva Miletic.

Sadie Brenneman proved to be a bright spot for Goshen, recording nine kills and six digs. Kia Knox-Dawkins had five kills and led the team with a .200 hitting percentage. Kennedy Land led all players on the court with 18 digs.

Indiana Wesleyan improves to 10-2 and 3-0 in the Crossroads League.

Goshen (2-15, 0-3 CL) faces another formidable opponent on Saturday, September 17, as they take on #3 Marian at 1:00 pm. Following that match is a stretch where five of the next six games are in Ruth Gunden Gymnasium.
