GOSHEN, Ind. - In an offensive showing by both teams, the Goshen Maple Leafs and St. Francis Saints (Ill.) men's soccer teams ended where they started after a 3-3 tie on Saturday evening in Goshen.
Goshen had 23 shots with 12 on goal, and St. Francis had 14 shots and nine on goal.
The Leafs were on the board first when
Felipe Carli secured a pass from
Bryan Yahir Rodriguez just outside the 18 and put it past the left side of the goalie.
Lucas Bontreger tacked on Goshen's second goal in the 22nd minute off a penalty kick. However, the Saints scored two goals within three minutes of each other and the teams were tied at two come halftime.
