INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Kaden Johnson recorded the second double-double of his young collegiate career with 11 points and 16 rebounds against #14 Marian on Saturday, but the Knights cruised to a 100-51 victory.
The game was only tied for 13 seconds as the Knights scored a three early and went on to score 61 first-half points. Marian shot 64% at the break with nine first-half three-pointers, 20 rebounds, and 13 assists.
Goshen had 21 turnovers in the game, and 17 were Marian steals. The Leafs had two other double-digit scorers in addition to
Kaden Johnson.
Caleb Wright scored 11 points and made two shots from behind the arc.
Elias Ramirez finished with ten points and hit four of his six attempts.
MU had four players that scored at least 15 points each. Taeshon Cherry led the home team with 24 points, and Hayden Langkabel, Christian Harvey and Brody Whitaker each had 15 points.
Marian committed just five turnovers all afternoon. Coming into the game, they had the fourth fewest turnovers per game in the NAIA. They improve their record to 14-3 this season.
Goshen's five-game road trip ends, as they will face Indiana Wesleyan at home on Wednesday, January 11, at 7:00 pm.
