GOSHEN, Ind. - After going into the half tied at 0-0, Mount Vernon Nazarene scored twice in the first ten minutes of the second half to beat the Maple Leafs women's soccer team 2-0 on Wednesday night.
Goshen finished with more shots on goal (6-5) and just one less corner. The Cougars' goals came from Brooke Frazier and Alexis Hoffman. GC had two shots on goal from
Amy Drew and one each from
Seja Lang,
Klara Ebert,
Madalyne Swallow and
Sophia Yoder.
Goshen had just two shots in the first half but five in the second.
