UPLAND, Ind. - In their penultimate match of the season, the women's volleyball team lost in three sets at Taylor. Goshen won the blocks category 7-4 with four block assists from
Bailee Brown and
Kelsie Hankins.
The Trojans jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead in the first set on the way to a 25-12 win. They had a 10-2 lead as well in the second set, but the Leafs gave them a run for their money later on. Goshen pulled within three, and it was 23-20 late in the set before Taylor got the final two points needed from a Goshen service error and a kill. The third set was 4-4 to start, and although Taylor had their fewest kills and lowest hitting percentage in that set, they won it 25-15.
Sadie Brenneman finished with 12 kills and eight digs.
Kelsie Hankins had 18 assists and eight digs in addition to her four block assists.
Alaina Wolfe provided 11 of Goshen's 38 digs in the match.
The Leafs wrap up the season on Saturday at 3:00 pm at #17 Bethel.
