HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Syanne Mohamed set career-highs in points and rebounds to lead the Maple Leafs to a fourth straight win on Saturday. Goshen won their second game in the Huntington Classic, 79-55 over IU-Southeast.
Mohamed collected 26 points and 15 rebounds in the win. She shot 11-14 from the floor and 4-4 at the free-throw line. Five of her rebounds were on the offensive end, and she added two assists and a steal. It is the third double-double of her career, but the first where she has had 20 or more points or 15 or more rebounds.
After leading 9-7, Goshen ended the first quarter on a 13-4 run. It was a ten-point game by the end of the third quarter, but GC went on a 10-0 run in the fourth to bring their lead to the twenties. They finished with a 24-point victory, a far cry from their 16-point loss to the Grenadiers less than a year ago.
