GOSHEN, Ind. - Isaac Miller scored 18 as Goshen lost 71-50 to IU-South Bend on Wednesday as part of the Crossroads/Chicagoland Challenge. IUSB is receiving votes in the most recent coaches poll.
Goshen led 19-18 with 6:36 to go in the first half when the Titans went on a 16-4 run. They continued the momentum by outscoring the Leafs 36-25 in the second half.
GC ended the contest with a better shooting percentage behind the arc than in front of it. Miller was 6-12 shooting, including going 4-8 from three.
Jared Bonds supplied eight points, five rebounds and four blocks.
Judah Simfukwe had five points, five rebounds and four assists while
Kevin Cota and
Max Smoker had six points each off the bench.
In the earlier game hosted by Goshen College in Ruth Gunden Gymnasium, Bethel took down Holy Cross College 82-59. Bethel is receiving votes in the coaches poll as well.
The Pilots will return on Saturday, November 18, this time to take on Goshen at 3:00 pm. It is the first Crossroads League game of the season for the Maple Leafs.
