GOSHEN, Ind. - Drew Lutz scord 26 points for the Pilots as they defeated the Goshen men's basketball team 83-68 on Saturday. Bethel is now 6-1 overall and is receiving votes in the coaches poll.
The Leafs had as much as a six-point lead in the first half and led as late as 24-23. Bethel had a six-point lead at the half and went up by 15 with under 15 minutes to go in the second half until Goshen balanced the scoring from there on out.
Marcus Northern was the leading scorer for the Leafs, putting up 14 points with three rebounds and four assists. He had made just four field goal attempts in his first five games of the season but made six on Saturday alone.
Karson Jenkins had 13 points off the bench on 6-13 shooting. There were nine other Maple Leafs that also scored in the contest.

Josh Similien all scored five or more points each.
Goshen is at Saint Francis on Tuesday, November 21, with a 7:30 pm start time.
