FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Syanne Mohamed and
Kiana Oelling both scored 20+ points and the Goshen women's basketball team moved their win streak to seven games with a 77-68 road win at Saint Francis. It is the team's longest win streak since winning seven games in November and December of 2015. Saint Francis was 7-1 going into the game.
Oelling was 6-6 from the field. She was 3-3 from the three-point line and 6-6 at the free-throw line. Mohamed had 12 rebounds to accompany her 22 points and seven rebounds were on the offensive end. Mohamed's double-double is her fourth this season and third in the last four games. Oelling's 21 points are a career-high.
Zion Neat had 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
Kyla Foster's 13 rebounds were a career-high and she had nine points to go with it. Goshen had lost their last 13 games to Saint Francis. Before Tuesday night, their last win against the Cougars was on December 3, 2016.
Now with a 7-2 record on the year, the Maple Leafs have already tied their win total from the 2022-23 season. After a well-deserved holiday break, Goshen returns to action on Saturday, December 2, at home against Mount Vernon Nazarene at 1:00 pm.
