NOTRE DAME, Ind. - It was a tale of two halves for the GC men's basketball team on the road at Holy Cross College on Wednesday. Despite holding a 36-32 lead at the half, the Leafs were outscored 48-19 in the second half during an 80-55 loss.

Kyle Capps to call a timeout. But after they regrouped, the Maple Leafs went on a 10-2 run to tie it 15-15. It was a part of a longer 25-6 run for Goshen, and GC took an 11 point lead at 30-19.
But from that point on, Holy Cross scored 61 of the next 86 points. Goshen was 4 for 20 from three, while the home team was 12 for 26. The Leafs were outrebounded by 13 and had just three offensive rebounds and two assists. GC shot better at the free-throw line, going 73.3% compared to 61.5% for HCC.
Isaac Miller finished with 17 points, his highest total in a game since playing Marian at home last season on January 28. He went 5-8 with two three-pointers, three rebounds, an assist and a steal. Miller had ten of Goshen's 19 second half points.
Judah Simfukwe had ten points and four rebounds in the game. Seven Maple Leafs had at least three rebounds.
Goshen plays in their home opener on Saturday, November 11, at 3:00 pm against IU-East.
