GOSHEN, Ind. - A hat trick from Katie Koger was part of a 5-0 Marian win over Goshen on Wednesday night at the GC Soccer Complex. Marian is ranked #6 in the NAIA and now boasts an 8-1-1 record. Goshen falls to 5-4-2 and 0-2-0 in the Crossroads League.
Koger scored her first goal in the 13th minute and followed it up quickly with a second goal in the 15th minute. Her third goal came in the 73rd minute to make the score 4-0. The last goal came with less than a minute to go.
Goshen's
Lexy Adamczyk had a shot that hit the crossbar in the 36th minute.
Sophia Yoder had two shots on goal, while
Anita Tavares and
Madalyne Swallow had one.
Victoria Naylor made five saves for Goshen.
The Maple Leafs face another challenging opponent on Saturday, September 30, at #2 Spring Arbor. Goshen meets the Cougars in Spring Arbor at 3:00 pm.
