GOSHEN, Ind. - Despite another excellent defensive performance from
Brenna Spangler on a second straight night, the Goshen women's volleyball team lost in three sets to Grace on Saturday 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.
Spangler had two solo blocks and two block assists and has averaged 1.22 total blocks per set this week.
Sadie Brenneman also had a solo block. And although Goshen won the blocks category 6-3, the Lancers performed better in aces and hitting percentage.
Goshen led 18-16 in the first set, but Grace finished it with a 9-2 run. The Lancers had more control over the last two sets of the match.
Bailee Brown had eight kills and a .429 hitting percentage for the Leafs.
Alaina Wolfe tallied 13 digs and
Kelsie Hankins notched 26 assists.
Saturday's game was also Staff Appreciation Day for the Maple Leafs. Listed below are the athletes with their chosen staff members:
