GOSHEN, Ind. - The Wildcats from Indiana Wesleyan secured their 16th straight win on Wednesday night as they topped the Maple Leafs 91-61. Goshen's record in the Crossroads League dropped to 3-5.
Indiana Wesleyan shot just 33% in the first quarter and was 0-5 from three, while Goshen hit 55% in the first. IWU still had a 17-13 lead after the quarter, though.
The #2 ranked Wildcats found their groove in the second and third quarters, shooting 24-34 (71%) during that stretch. The Maple Leafs were 8-27 (30%) during those quarters. The Wildcats scored much in the paint, with a 56-24 advantage in the category.
Syanne Mohamed and
Montasia McAllister had ten points each for GC, and McAllister was 2-3 from three.
Sophia Eli scored eight points off the bench, with six coming at the line.
Zion Neat and
Paula Ferrer Nolla had six points apiece - Ferrer Nolla's most points as a Leaf.

Goshen is at Huntington on Saturday, January 20, at 1:00 pm. Goshen won their most recent game at Huntington 72-42, which had ended a nine-game losing skid to the Foresters.
