GOSHEN, Ind. - The Maple Leafs had a halftime lead and had seven first-half threes but lost the momentum late in an 88-79 loss to Saint Francis on Wednesday.
Goshen held a 41-37 advantage at the half but was outscored by 13 in the second. The Leafs finished the night shooting 45.2% from the field and 45.8% from three.
Four Maple Leafs had at least 14 points.
Judah Simfukwe led the charge with 19 points and hit four three-pointers.
Marcus Northern followed with 17 points and went 6-7 from the free-throw line with four assists.
Isaac Miller had 15 with three threes, and
Jared Bonds scored 14, going 7-10 from the field.
Goshen also lost by nine points at Saint Francis earlier this season. Last year, they lost to the Cougars by a combined 58 points over the two games.
Goshen is at Mount Vernon Nazarene on Saturday, February 3, at 3:00 pm.
