MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The women's soccer team posted their fifth tie of the season at Bethel on Saturday. The 0-0 tie was the third time they have played a match this season with no goals by either team.
While the teams were even on the scoreboard, the Pilots had the edge in many statistical categories. Bethel had five shots on goal and 11 total while Goshen didn't have any shots on goal and three total shots. Bethel took 11 corner kicks and Goshen mustered one.
The tie ends a four-match losing streak for the Leafs against the Pilots. It was the first time Goshen held Bethel scoreless since 2019.
Lexy Adamczyk took two shots for Goshen and
Alessandra Aguilera took the other.
Aina Lopez made five saves in 90 minutes played. Her average number of goals allowed per game has decreased in each of the last four games.
Goshen hosts Grace on Saturday, October 26, at 7:00 pm in the penultimate game of the regular season.
