GOSHEN, Ind. - Grace had one deep shot that sailed over
Aina Lopez in a 1-0 win for the Lancers in Goshen on Senior Night. Goshen had seven second half corner kicks compared to none in the first half but couldn't connect on any chances.
Jasmin Slump scored for the Lancers in the 19th minute, her second goal of the year. Grace had taken ten shots by the half and Goshen had just one. They had four corner kicks and the Leafs didn't have any.
Goshen had more chances after the halftime break. Both teams had five shots and Goshen won the corner kick edge 7-1.
Aina Lopez only had to make one save in the second half as opposed to four in the first. The Maple Leafs were taking chances down to the final seconds.
Amy Drew had a blocked shot in the 85th minute,
Jessica Brito's 89th minute shot was saved, and after a rushed corner kick in the closing seconds,
Seja Lang's header was saved by Ivy Cline with two seconds left.
Goshen has allowed less than two goals against Grace for two straight seasons after not being able to do so for the four years prior. The Lancers put up six shots on goal and the Leafs had three.
Seja Lang had two of the shots on goal.
Goshen hosted Senior Night for the nine women's soccer seniors before the match.

Brynja Hjartardottir! Brynja is being escorted by her parents, sister, niece and nephews. She is a marketing major and hopes to keep playing soccer, travel and work in marketing after Goshen. Thank you, Brynja!

Kyra Austen! Kyra is being escorted by her parents Marcia and Robert Austen. She is a physical education and teaching major with a health minor. After Goshen, Kyra plans to teach physical education in New York and eventually teach in Germany. Thank you, Kyra!
Next we have #18, Maddie Swallow! Maddie is being escorted by her parents Brad and Wendy, her brother Zach and her future sister-in-law Mackayla. Maddie is a business major with minors in pre-law and criminal justice. After college, she plans to take a gap year and work before going back to college to get a master's degree in business administration. She also plans to continue playing soccer with Goshen City FC. Makiah McCain! Makiah is being escorted by her parents Shawn and Crystal McCain and her sister Makenzie McCain. She is an exercise science major and hopes to enroll in PTA school to get into travel physical therapy. Thank you, Makiah!

Seja Lang! Seja is being escorted by Mike Lang, Dawn Marks, Dessa Lang, Kaden Lang, Mason Lang, Kenny Wright,
Eliana Lang and Bolu Owolabi. She is majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology. Seja intends to attend dental school to become a pediatric dentist. Thank you, Seja!
Rounding out our group of seniors is #1, Vicky Naylor! Vicky is being escorted by her parents Rowenna and Richard Naylor. She is an exercise science major with a minor in public health. After college, she plans on going to grad school for athletic training. Thank you, Vicky!
