GOSHEN, Ind. - The Maple Leafs had a three-point lead with under three minutes to play in the game, but Concordia finished off on a 13-5 run to win 83-78.
Andre Bradford scored 24 points for Goshen and
Richard Wilson added 21 on 8-10 shooting.
Goshen started off 2-15 from three and the Leafs were down 31-17 at that point.
Richard Wilson made a three with under five minutes to go that started a 10-3 run to put Goshen within four. Down eight at the half, Goshen's deficit increased to 12 early in the second half but they tied it at 50 apiece with under 14 minutes to go.
The teams were tied a few more times, the Cardinals took an 11 point lead with seven and a half minutes to go, and then Goshen took the lead back with under four minutes to go at 71-70 after an
Andre Bradford three-pointer. He made another basket just 17 seconds later to take the lead to three.
Jason Jergens hit a three for Concordia with 2:30 to play which started a spark in the Cardinals. The lead went up to five with 43 seconds left and would be the same margin by the game's end.
Goshen finished 12-41 from three for a 29.3% success rate. The 41 three-point attempts are the most the Leafs have taken in a game since October 27, 2018 against Lincoln Christian in a 79-78 win.
Richard Wilson had 21 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench. He shot 8-10 from the field and 5-6 from three. Three of his rebounds were on the offensive end and he added four assists.
Andre Bradford had 24 points and five rebounds, making half of the team's three-pointers.
DJ Bryant led Goshen with seven assists.
