MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Goshen fell to Bethel 101-56 on Wednesday night. Bethel stays undefeated at 7-0 with the win and is receiving votes in the NAIA coaches poll.
In the first half, Bethel established a strong lead early, with Trent Edwards contributing significantly. Their offensive push was marked by a 19-point lead at the half, despite a late surge from GC that included threes from
Juraj Minarovjech and
Andre Bradford.
The Pilots also dominated the scoring in the second half, outpacing the Leafs 49-23. Goshen had nine turnovers in the half and could not close the gap on Bethel's substantial lead. The teams combined to shoot just 7-46 from three in the game. Bethel had a +33 rebound margin and shot 56.6% overall.
Tariq Humes led the Maple Leafs with ten points and added three rebounds.
Andre Bradford had seven points and a season-high six rebounds.
DJ Bryant scored nine points, went 3-3 at the line and shot 60% from the field.
Marcus Northern added eight points while gathering four rebounds and recording one block.
Juraj Minarovjech had season highs with six points scored and two three-pointers made. The loss puts an end to Goshen's three-game win streak.
Goshen hosts Saint Francis on Saturday, November 23, at 3:00 pm.
