GOSHEN, Ind. - In their Mental Health Awareness game, Goshen improved their record to 3-0 after a confident 60 - 45 win over Trinity Christian College. Their second 3-0 start to the season in the last three seasons. Goshen has now won five in a row against the Trolls and is 8-2 in their last ten meetings.

Zion Neat, led the Leafs in scoring with 26 points which was also a career-high for her at Goshen overtaking her 25-point game vs the University of Michigan Dearborn earlier this season. Neat also set a new career high in field goals with 10. Additionally, her 9 rebounds and 2 blocks each tie her previous career highs. Neat averages 22 points per game on the season with 72% efficiency from the field and 85% from the line. With her 80.3% career free throw percentage as it stands, Neat has the 4th best career free throw percentage in program history.

Paula Ferrer Nolla had 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks in her first career GC start, and fellow international student
Syanne Mohamed had her second straight game with double-digit rebounds (11). With this Mohamed is now in the top 5 rebounders in program history with 611 passing Donna Porter (606) and if she continues at her current rate she is on course to break into the top 3 rebounders in program history overtaking GC Woman Basketball Assistant Coach and GC alum Jo'Mani Thomas (806).
After Goshen's win over the Trolls, new head Coach
Tyra Carver is the first GC women's basketball coach to start 3-0 since Sharon Swartley in 1989-90 and it is also the first time since 2011 that any GC women's sport has started 3-0 under a new coach.
Goshen (3-0) returns to the Ruth Gunden Gymnasium next on Saturday, November 23rd at 1:00 PM against the University of Saint Francis for their Women's Empowerment Game.
