HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Goshen women's volleyball team lost in three sets on the road at Huntington on Wednesday. Goshen's point total and hitting percentage both increased set by set.
The Maple Leafs had an early 7-4 lead in the first set. But after
Brenna Spangler's ace, the Foresters went on a 5-0 run and Goshen never took the lead back. The Leafs had a 14-11 lead in the second when Huntington scored the next six points. Again, the Leafs were unable to get the lead and lost by six.
In the third set, Huntington built a 20-10 advantage and had the match point at 24-14. The Leafs made it more interesting by going on a 6-0 run before an attack error ended the rally and HU won 25-20.
Freshman
Ava Egolf led the Leafs in kills with 11.
Alaina Wolfe had 14 digs and
Kelsie Hankins contributed 24 assists.
Brenna Spangler added two block assists.
