UPLAND, Ind. - In their first Crossroads League match of the season, the Goshen women's volleyball team lost on the road at Taylor in three sets, 16-25, 20-25, 15-25.
The Trojans had a hitting percentage of .300 for the match and the Maple Leafs were at .100. Goshen had very brief leads in the start of the second and third sets, but Taylor controlled most of the match. The Leafs were only down two at 19-17 in the second set, but the home team rattled off three points in a row and stopped any chances Goshen had at creeping up and taking a lead.
Sadie Brenneman had 12 kills and
Kassidy Faler had 12 digs for Goshen.
Kelsie Hankins tallied 20 assists across the three sets. Brenneman had two of the team's three aces.
