GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen had a lead with four minutes to go against Bethel on Saturday afternoon but the Pilots ended the game on a 10-4 run to win 67-62.
When the teams were tied 20-20 in the second quarter, Bethel used an 8-3 scoring run to go into halftime with an 28-23 scoring advantage.
The Maple Leafs scored 24 points in the third quarter, more than their first two quarters combined. Goshen made 62% of their shots in the period, which included a 12-2 run to start the quarter, and then they were only down one going into the fourth.
Zion Neat scored the first basket of the fourth quarter to put GC on top and the teams went back-and-forth with the lead for the next five minutes. Gracie Lambes scored six of Bethel's final ten points, giving them a third straight win against the Leafs.
Neat led all players on the court with 25 points and had her fourth 25-point game of the season.
Syanne Mohamed had 13 points and eight rebounds. She had two blocks and made six of her seven shot attempts. It was her sixth game this season with six or more made field goals, and five of those have come in the last seven games.
Zoe Zellers had four rebounds and four assists.
Ava Lickliter's four assists are tho most in a conference game for her this season.
Goshen is at Saint Francis on Wednesday, January 29, at 5:30 pm.
