MARION, Ind. - In their third matchup against an NAIA top-20 team in the last four games, the Goshen women's soccer team lost on the road at #7 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats scored three times in the first half, with two goals coming from Sarah Foulk in the 12th and 39th minutes. Julia Tiemann had the other, in the 23rd minute. Their other two goals came shortly after halftime. Madelynn Welker scored her first of the game just 33 seconds into the second half and added her second in the 50th minute.Â
Goshen didn't have any first-half shots but took two in the second.
Sophia Yoder had an attempt that went high in the 58th minute, and she had another attempt sail wide in the 82nd minute.
Isaura Toledo and
Aina Lopez split time as goalkeepers, both playing a half and both making seven saves. Toledo allowed two goals and Lopez allowed three. The Wildcats are now 10-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the Crossroads League.Â
