Goshen falls 3-2 after early lead, Foresters score three goals in three minutes to steal win

Pruett scored her first collegiate goal, Boudreau had her second of the season

GOSHEN, Ind. - After holding a 2-0 lead after goals from freshmen Evyn Pruett and May Boudreau, Huntington roared back with three goals in just over three minutes to win 3-2 in Goshen on Wednesday night.

Pruett scored her first career collegiate goal in the 36th minute on a cross from Sophia Yoder to the top of the box. With one touch she was able to find the lower left corner of the net. Goshen led 1-0 at the half, and May Boudreau scored her first goal since the season opener in the 55th minute. Eliana Lang moved quickly into the box to feed the ball back to Boudreau, who had an open corner of the net after the keeper dived the opposite way. It marked the first time since the season opener against Lawrence Tech that Goshen had scored two goals in a match.

The Foresters cut the lead in half in the 68th minute on a goal from Ella Theard, assisted by Rhya Holliday. Then in the 69th minute, Sophie Shepherd curled a beautiful shot in to the upper corner and past the outstretched arms of Aina Lopez to tie the game. Next, in the 71st minute, Theard scored her second goal of the game on a loose ball played back to the top of the box. Ella Hartman had the assist on the second goal and Maria Cote Molina on the third.

Huntington finished with 21 shots and nine on goal while Goshen had 13 and five on goal. Goshen led in corner kicks 4-3, and all of Huntington's corners came before halftime.  Boudreau had a career-high three shots, with two on goal, and Sophia Yoder had three as well.
