GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen lost in three sets to Grace on Saturday afternoon, with the Lancers winning by scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.
Sydney Stutsman, who was recognized before the match for reaching 1,000 career assists, had her highest dig total in a match since August 16.
The Lancers started with a 5-0 lead and never looked back. Goshen pulled within one and then within two a couple more times but Grace ended on a 12-5 run to win by nine. Goshen had a narrow lead to start the next set and the teams were tied 10-10 when the guests ended on a 15-9 run to win 25-19. Both teams had their worst hitting percentage in the third set, but it was still the most dominant win for the Lancers. Goshen's last lead was 4-3. Grace went on an 8-0 run at that point and later had a 6-0 run to extend their lead before winning by 11.
Sami Lard and
Nevaeh Benjamin had five kills each for the Leafs.
Kelsie Hankins had seven assists, her highest total since September 6 when Goshen was at Grace.
Sydney Stutsman had 12 digs, six assists and an ace.
Alaina Wolfe contributed ten digs and four assists.
