GOSHEN, Ind. - #17 Grace boosted their record to 12-2-2 with a 3-0 win over Goshen on Saturday afternoon for the team's Pink Out game for breast cancer awareness.
The score was 1-0 at the half after Madelief Lowik scored on a loose ball to the far post in the 31st minute. Nora Pollock scored her 11th goal of the season in the 57th minute to put the Lancers up 2-0. Then in the 83rd minute, Ellie Grieser scored on a penalty kick to make it a 3-0 game.
The road team has won each of the last four Grace-Goshen matches. The Lancers had 50 shots in the game, with 16 on goal. They also had 15 total corner kicks.
Aina Lopez made 13 saves for the Maple Leafs, tied for her highest total in a game this season. She also had 13 in a 1-1 tie against Siena Heights at home on September 10.
May Boudreau had a shot on goal for Goshen. Eight of her ten shots this year have been on goal.
Goshen hosts Saint Francis on Saturday, October 25, at 7:00 pm for Senior Night - the last home game of the regular season.
