GOSHEN, Ind. - On a day where nine seniors were recognized for their careers, the Maple Leafs breezed past Taylor, securing a dominant 81-63 win. After the game, the Leafs recognized Ava Lickliter, Emme Boots, Syanne Mohamed, Seja Lang, Kiana Oelling, Paula Ferrer Nolla, Zoe Zellers, Hannah Clark, and Ellie Fausnaugh.

The Leafs used a dominant second quarter to create a 14 point separation by halftime. The Leafs shot 73% in the second quarter, making eight of their 11 field goal attempts. During that span, the Leafs defense held Taylor to only three made field goals, which was a game low for Taylor shooting at 25%. 

Taylor's offense picked up in the second half, but the Leafs had an answer for every Taylor basket. Over the final two quarters, the Leafs shot 55% from the field. 

Senior Emme Boots led the Leafs in scoring with a career-high 20 points. Boots went four for seven from three, which is a career-high in three pointers made in her career. Boots also grabbed six rebounds, which ties a season and career-high for a conference game. 

Zion Neat scored 15 points on 64% shooting. Neat's career total points now sits at 2,015. 

Senior Syanne Mohamed had a dominant performance scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Mohamed's 14 rebounds puts her at 812 career rebounds, which passes current assistant coach Jo'Mani Thomas for fourth all-time in GC rebounding history. Mohamed also swatted the ball three times, which is her fifth game this season where she's had three or more blocks. 

Ava Lickliter and Paula Ferrer Nolla each added 11 and ten points respectively. Lickliter also grabbed five rebounds and added four steals. Ferrer Nolla's ten points are a career-high in a conference game. 

The Leafs improve to 11-14 overall and 5-11 in conference play. The Leafs will be back in action on Wednesday February 19th, taking on #2 IWU. Tip off is set for 5:30pm.

Fans, we would now like to recognize our 2025 women's basketball seniors. While their time at Goshen is coming to a close, their legacies are cemented into the history of Goshen College and they will forever be Maple Leafs.

First to be recognized is #10, Ava Lickliter! Ava is being escorted by her mom and stepdad Trang and Jeremie Campbell, her dad Ben Lickliter and her grandparents Sam and Regina Lickliter. She is a graphic design major and plans to move to Houston, Texas and either get a job in the graphic design field or to get back into education and get her teaching license. She also plans to travel a lot with her family. Thank you, Ava!

Next, we have #25, Emme Boots! Emme is being escorted by her parents Carrie and Braden Boots. She is an English education major with a minor in business and plans to teach English at Bluffton High School after college. She intends on getting her master's degree in education in the next few years and then has aspirations of getting her doctorate in education. Thank you, Emme!

Let's congratulate #30, Syanne Mohamed! Syanne is being escorted by her boyfriend Mathurin Allawai, her friend Riley Sprague and her friend and teammate Kyla Foster. Syanne is a nursing major. After college, she plans to become a nurse specializing in labor and delivery. She is excited about the opportunity to support expecting mothers and their families and is eager to continue learning and growing in the field. After a couple of years, she will return to school to earn her master's degree and become a nurse practitioner. Thank you, Syanne!

Next up is #32, Seja Lang! Seja is being escorted by Mike Lang, Dawn Marks, Kenny Wright and Eliana Lang. She is a biochemistry and molecular biology major. Upon graduation from GC, she will decide between attending dental school or getting her PhD in molecular and cellular biology and then going on to research. Thank you, Seja!

Coming up next is #33, Kiana Oelling! Kiana is being escorted by her parents Elise and Jeremie Oelling and her fiancé Graham Eley. She is majoring in business and minoring in both accounting and entrepreneurship. Kiana plans to explore the business field and own her own business in the future. Thank you, Kiana!

Next, we have #34, Paula Ferrer Nolla! Paula is being escorted by her friend Rayah Kolbusz, her host sister Kathryn, and friends Lucas Cardoso and Sara Stone. Paula is a graphic design major with a minor in marketing. Upon graduation she plans on getting her master's degree and being a graduate assistant. Thank you, Paula!

Let's congratulate our next senior, #35, Zoe Zellers! Zoe is being escorted by her parents Carla and Scott Zellers. She is a nursing major and wants to become a labor and delivery nurse. Beyond that, she would like to pursue her master's degree to become a nurse practitioner one day. Thank you, Zoe!

Next, we have #40, Hannah Clark! Hannah is being escorted by her mom Dana Clark and her sister Bailey Clark. She is majoring in elementary education and special education. After college, Hannah plans on becoming an elementary teacher. Thank you, Hannah!

Last but not least is #42, Ellie Fausnaugh! Ellie is being escorted by her parents Don and Carla Fausnaugh. She is an exercise science major and plans on attending grad school for athletic training at the University of Evansville. Thank you, Ellie!
