SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - Goshen lost a quick three-set match at Spring Arbor on Wednesday night. The Cougars won 25-7, 25-15, 25-5 to improve their season record to 14-1.
The Cougars started by winning the first 11 points of the first set and going up 17-1. They had two separate 6-0 runs in the second set and had leads at 12-2 and 21-4 in the third set.
Alaina Wolfe had 13 digs for Goshen. She has recorded double-digit digs in all 13 of Goshen's matches this season. A year ago that was true for 71% of the matches she played.
Amelie Martinez had six kills and
Sydney Stutsman and
Kelsie Hankins had five assists each. SAU led Goshen in aces 11-0 and blocks 7-0.
Goshen (4-9, 0-3 CL) starts a stretch of four consecutive home matches by facing Saint Francis this Saturday, September 13, at 3:00 pm. The Leafs were 1-1 against USF last season.
