GOSHEN, Ind. - Women's soccer lost 1-0 in their Crossroads League opener at home against Mount Vernon Nazarene at the GC Soccer Complex. The Cougars' goal came with seven seconds left in the first half.

The Cougars had seven first half shots before Goshen had their first shot of the match off the foot of Evyn Pruett in the 44th minute. 70 second after her shot, Meghan Moser had a shot go off the goalpost and in on a through ball from the left side from Cora Bishop. That made it 1-0 at the half.

Goshen had four more shots in the second half and two were on goal. They were unable to find the back of the net, though, and 1-0 was the final. The Cougars finished with 22 shots and nine on goal. They had eight corner kicks and Goshen had none.

Aina Lopez made eight saves for GC. Natalie Boulier had both of Goshen's shots on goal. It is the first game she has had two shots on goal in her two seasons as a Maple Leaf. Pruett, Sophia Yoder and Karlee Ballast also had shots for Goshen.
