GOSHEN, Ind. - Alaina Wolfe moved into the top ten in program history for career digs during Goshen's three-set loss to Huntington on Wednesday. The Foresters won 25-19, 25-21, 25-13.
Goshen defeated Huntington in four sets at home last year. However, with the win in Goshen, the Foresters are now 14-4 this season and 4-3 in the Crossroads League.
The second set was the strongest set for the Leafs. They scored the first three points and led as late as 19-18. At that point, though, Huntington scored five in a row to go up four. They did enough in the end to win 25-21, ending the set on a service ace. They went up 14-5 in the third set and cruised to a 12-point victory there.
Brenna Spangler had two solo blocks and two block assists for Goshen. It was her fourth match this season with multiple solo blocks and the 16th in her career.
Alaina Wolfe had 12 digs, which gives her 1,072 for her career. That surpasses Jessica Buller's total of 1,064 to move in to tenth in school history in that category. Wolfe is a junior.
Carmin Corey led Goshen in kills with six.
Sydney Stutsman had 15 assists and
Carle Bruggema had eight. Corey,
Nevaeh Benjamin and
Armani Guidry-Austin had two block assists each.
