Game Recap: Men's Basketball | | Justin DeWeese

Kenny May has career night in ten-point loss to #19 Huntington

May had a career-high in points, field goals, rebounds and minutes played

GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen outscored #19 Huntington by nine points in the second half, but an early deficit proved too much to overcome in a 74-64 loss to the Foresters. Huntington is now 19-6 this season.

Huntington led 7-0 early on until a three from Juraj Minarovjech three and a half minutes in got the Leafs on the board. HU led 37-15 with 3:23 to go in the half, but never by more than that. The Foresters had their backups in late in the second half, but the Leafs had a 10-3 run and Huntington had four turnovers in a span of a minute and 24 seconds, forcing them to bring their starters back in. GC was much improved shooting the ball in the second half, shooting 45% compared to 25% in the first. They also went 28% from three in the second half after going 10% in the first half. Despite a late Goshen rally, Huntington pulled through to win by ten.

Kenny May had a career-high 24 points, topping his previous high of 19 set last week in a win over Taylor. He also had career-highs tonight in field goals made (11), rebounds (11) and minutes played (38). This was his second career double-double, and he also added two assists, a block and a steal. It's the first time he has had one or more of each of those in the same game. Kamren Williams made a career-high nine free-throws, and he only had nine attempts. Marcus Northern had 11 points and is sitting at 968 for his career.

Goshen is at Spring Arbor on Saturday, February 14, at 3:00 pm.
