GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen had their second-fewest number of turnovers this season, but poor shooting at the free-throw line and from deep led to a loss on Senior Night against Mount Vernon Nazarene. The Cougars won 70-60. Seniors

Mount Vernon led 23-13 after the first quarter, but Goshen chipped away until they took their first lead at 45-44 with 3:26 to go in the third quarter. The teams went back and forth for a while, with Goshen's lead never getting above two.
Sarah Elfrey made a bucket with 6:09 to go in the fourth quarter to tie the game 60-60, but that was the final scoring for the Leafs. MVNU finished on a 10-0 run while Goshen shot just 29% in the fourth after shooting 69% in the third.
Ava Egolf had 17 points, her third-most of her career. She tied career-highs with five steals and 37 minutes played. Senior
Lillian Null had 12 points - her most in a Crossroads League game this season. Senior
Kyla Foster brought down 13 rebounds to go with nine points. She averaged 17.5 rebounds per game in Goshen's two contests with Mount Vernon Nazarene this season.
Sarah Elfrey had ten points and eight rebounds - both which were season highs for a conference game this season.
Goshen wraps up the season at Grace on Saturday, February 21, at 1:00 pm.

Fans, we would now like to recognize our 2026 basketball seniors. While their time at Goshen is coming to a close, their legacies are cemented into the history of Goshen College and they will forever be Maple Leafs.

Lillian Null! Lillian is being escorted by her mother Susan Vail. She is an exercise science major and plans to attend Richland Community College next for radiology. After Goshen, she plans to coach basketball, further her education in radiology and travel the world.
Coach Carver says, "Lilly has shown tremendous growth over the years. Lilly is a great player to have around and has been instrumental in laying the foundation of our culture and program. We appreciate everything Lilly has contributed to our team and know that she will be successful in her next chapter."

Kyla Foster! Kyla is being escorted by her parents Kenneth Foster and Marquita McCray, her siblings Kenneth Foster Jr and Kylonne Foster, her grandmother Roberta McCray and her significant other Kamille Badibanga. She is a sports management major and plans to continue her education upon graduation by pursuing a master's degree. Over the next five to ten years, she plans on building a career in coaching and basketball training and developing multiple sources of income through business ventures, educational opportunities or community-based initiatives.
Coach Carver says, "Kyla has been a phenomenal leader for us this year. She puts in the extra work and leads by example. It's been a pleasure to watch Kyla grow over the years. Her impact can't be measured, but her presence is heavily felt. We appreciate everything Kyla has contributed to our program, and we know that she will continue to impact people's lives."
